I brought my umbrella with me because you said it was going to rain. Even as I looked out of my window at the bright sunlight, Weatherman you still assured me it was going to pour down all the same.
So I put my trust in you. I was out for hours throughout the day, traveling in the sun. Its hot rays bore down on me and the air was hot and stale. I thought you had to be right. The way the air felt, it must be about to pour! But nothing changed, in the coming of the rain, the day was as dry as before.
Weatherman, oh weatherman, have you seen the sky? Clear and blue with blazing sun. Can you tell me why?
Suddenly a thought occurred to me and I opened up my umbrella. It blocked the rays that had been blinding me and provided an element of shade. Instantly the day became better. Instead of being mad at you for the lack of rain, you gave me the tool I needed to make it through the day.
Thank you, oh Weatherman (though I still think your forecast was lame). Because of you I had protection from the sunshine and the rain.
