“Nothing is impossible, the word itself, says I’m Possible.” Audrey Hepburn. These words were spoken by the subject of the February 1956 Vogue Cover that I chose. A simple yet bold cover that immediately caught my eye. Simple for the fact that there is not much to the cover other than Mrs. Hepburn herself, and bold for the sheer amount of power that her emotions convey despite her youthful appearance. I saw a lot of myself in this cover. The inspiration for my style came in that simple yet bold look that she presents. With so little she was able to convey so much, and while my styling includes a bit more than hers, it still gives forth the same simplicity, boldness and youth that I see in this cover.
Saturday was the first challenge for Miss SL. We were tasked with finding a cover of Vogue Magazine that we felt represented how we see ourselves. I chose a February 1956 Cover of Audrey Hepburn
. I’m not one for the crowded and movement packed covers. I like things simple and clean. Especially when it comes to fashion. This challenge was super simple for us and yet super hard at the same time. Not only do we have to represent ourselves, but we also had to make ourselves suitable for the Cover of a Vogue Magazine.
While I do not know how I did with the judges I felt that not only did the Cover I chose represented me very well as I see myself in SL, as I’m always very simply dressed, but clean and to purpose, but that I also nailed the inspiration of my cover. I loved the challenge and while the next challenges will be a bit much in the way of requirements, I know that I’m ready to take it on. For good or bad I’m in it for the long haul.
