Let’s talk about triggers! This seems to be the word of the year. It seems to be as overused as literally. Its overuse has caused it to be what it to be the very thing it describes. A few years back everyone was slinging the word narcissistic around and literally has been overused for the last five or six years, at least. I just wonder what creates these word trends. More often than actual words, slang terms gain this power with particular generations and eventually burn out. I understand those a bit more, but these words that literally trigger a cringed response? (You see what I did there?) I’m just not so sure, but to make sure I offer up at least one more cringe worthy word…when did moist become so taboo? When I hear that word, all I think of is cake.
